magazine magnet mania
This whole magnet thing started when Matt brought home a large box of vintage magazines for me back in the fall. Cosmopolitans, Better Home & Gardens, Fish & Tackle, and so many more. Some of which dated back to the 20's, but most of them were from the 50s and 60s. Right up my alley.
I became mildly obsessed with making these over the winter break. Sitting at a well lit table with my scissors and glue, flipping through these magazines, everything from the illustrations to the fonts in the old advertisements seemed worthy of a smoosh under the glue and glass. All the magnets are one of a kind, which makes them that much more special to me. I quickly found my fridge covered in these suckers, gave away quite a few sets as gifts, and still- I have a lot of them, and don't see myself falling out of love any time too soon.
That said, you can expect to see them pop up in the shop soon.

mmmmm... cheez-its! i hate to admit it, but i can go through a box per week. one of my favorite snacks of all time.

I love using the vintage pictures like this.
I have a big container full of these glass pebbles that I keep planning on using for a project like this.
