collections::birds
a few weeks ago, i gathered up these things from my bird collection, and re-vamped the bathroom in my workshop. (sorry for the bad lighting, but it's a bathroom with no natural light, ya know?)
so anyhow, among many, *many* other things that i collect, is this. Vintage Bird Stuff. figurines, books, prints, tea towels, drinking glasses, fabric, whathaveyou. birdy things are high on my list of collectibles. and my eyes are always peeled when i'm out in the land of the thrift.
what about you? what do you collect?

That's a nice collection you've got there!
I really don't see myself as a collector, but I suppose I have become one over the last year or so, while living on my own and being able to decorate however I want to, and having a lot more cupboard space to fill. :-)
I have a few small collections, where the most extensive one is my retro fabrics, mostly from the seventies. Whenever I find one, I have to buy it, and I keep telling myself that it is ok, because I'm going to make cushions out of it and sell it, but I just can't seem to get started...
My other collections are really small, I have some porcelain deers, and some retro tin cans, but I think that is it actually!

I have a Scottish terrier, and ever since I got him I started collecting wintage scottie dog stuff. I also collect vintage kitchen glasses, matchbooks, grammar/typesetting books, and kitchen towels. The collections are getting out of control!

i kinda have a bird collection, too. i have that exact same gabrielson book about american birds... except mine is cut up in some places from where i cut some of the pictures out several years ago. also, i have several bird items that i purchased from you!! including my favorite, which i have NO idea why you got rid of, a little owl figurine with leafy eyes and he's playing the accordion!! in my display, the owl figurine plays the accordian for two dancing girl figurines!! i should take a picture for you! :)
