the long winter
dear old friends,
it's been a long time for us, and i'm guessing it's probably not much fun to be boxed up and tucked away in the basement storage. spring is almost here, and that means baby girl will be here soon too. i just want you to know that i hate maternity clothes, and they will never, ever be able to compare in cuteness or style to any of you, so please don't think that i have you packed up because you've done something wrong. believe me when it tell you that jeans with a big, elastic belly band are not a treat.
soon we will be able to scoot around town and go out at night for dinners and dress up together for good luck at yard sales. i promise.
missing your color and textures and patterns and pretty, girly styles more than you could know,
jenny

LOL :) I know exactly how you feel! I'm so sick of wearing the same few pairs of maternity pants. And my belly is getting so big that even those are getting uncomfortable. I miss my cute clothes!

You've got to go check out Zooey Deschanel's new CD. It is under the name "She & Him" and it is Volume One. It just came out on Tuesday, and I bet you'll like it. Kind of a throwback to some Patsy Cline, mixed with a little Amy Winehouse, but oh so much better.
From one of your adoring fans, haha...

Gosh, you have such fabulous style! I'm sure your daughter will have tons of fun playing dress-up in your closet when she's older. :)

I know how you feel too! Most of my maternity clothes I got for free and so I have been living in someone elses clothes for the last 8 1/2 months. Almost nothing fits anymore and I have no desire to buy anything. This morning I put on a pair of overalls - which I have hated all pregnancy - and even they don't fit anymore! The weather is lovely and I just want to go for a run and have a waist again! That being said - I can't wait to meet this little person who will be here soon. :) Hang in there sweetie - our time is coming.

I had a dream two nights ago that my belly was flat again, then woke up to the watermelon belly! Maternity clothes stink, I have to agree. Feeling your pain...
