henry is 7

happy birthday to my very best boy, henry, who turned 7 years old on the 1st. it was a great day, filled with family, good food, surprise gifts and yummy cake. not the prettiest one i've ever made, but it's tough to pull of something worthy of a spread in martha kids while wrangling kids and guests and food on the grill and surprise 20 minute rain storms. besides, the flavor is what it's all about right? and how can you really go wrong with chocolate and creme cheese icing and m+ms?

the day wouldn't have been complete without the yanking out of another front tooth. i don't know about you, but i find a toothless child to be one of the cuter things in existence. especially when he tries to say things like "sorta" or "fantastic" or "sally sells sea shells by the sea shore". i hope those big boy teeth don't grow in overnight.

still pretty amazed by the fact that i am a mother of two. boggles my mind.
