the current lineup, minus the white pair on his feet when i took this photo.
always been a high top chucks kinda kid.
scored a 100 on his big oral presentation last week.
couldn't be more proud. if you know henry, you know that standing up in front of the class to deliver a 3-4 minute presentation was major.
this girl and her wooden puzzles. she is crazy into them right now.
and a little turkish doll from our friend jenny. love.
henry is sick, again. this winter has really been a doozy for the colds. poor guy had a case of walking pneumonia, and now here we are in the first days of spring out of school and at the doctor's office. ugga bugga.
i am still making my best effort to shoot pictures every day since i started a new photo project as of the first of the year. been a bit slow to upload them to flickr, but i've been good at taking them. so at least i'm sticking to it.
anyhow. i'm off to watch the presidential address.
have a lovely evening, see you back here tomorrow.
xo
the baby head. forget the roses, this is where it's at.
a big fat happy friday to you. i for one, and SUPER happy that it's (almost) the weekend.
here's hoping you have a great one, however you choose to spend it.
--------------------
the shop will close briefly at some point today, so that i can prepare for the upcoming collection, simply titled April Showers. it will make it's debut somewhere around the first of the month. vintage raincoats, umbrellas, dots, birds, flowers + gingham. i'm all about the gingham right now.
lots of love!
jenny
i have been waiting for the sun to show up today, but it's rain, rain, rain instead. one of those days where you just want to climb back under the covers.
it's been a very quiet day here. some painting in the morning, followed by some quiet playtime + a bath for the bird, and not much else to speak of really. just the sound of the rain and the gloomy feeling that comes with it today.
thinking a lot about family, and wishing i could have everyone in one place. somewhere amazing. here or here would be perfect.
in a few minutes, though, a big bus will come rumbling up the street, and a very happy, energetic boy will step off and tell me all about his day. and shortly after that, a little girl will wake up from her nap. and i'll have no choice but to snap into it.
little rays of sunshine, that's how my father in law describes kids. and he's right.
here we go. the colors of the rainbow collection winds down. ALL REMAINING ITEMS (and there are still some serious goodies!!) in the shop are now TEN BUCKS OR LESS. SHOES ARE FIVE. ya can't beat that with a stick!
the next collection will be about all things spring: gingham, dots, birds, flowers, umbrellas + raincoats. some of my very favorite things!
i'll be back later on today with some sneak peeks.
love!
wow, what a week. busy is an understatement. between work and school, two of us getting sick (me and the baby girl), henry preparing for an oral presentation on jackie robinson (do you remember doing such things in the second grade? i do not), we are just wiped out.
but! i've just done something a little nutty and marked down all remaining items in the colors of the rainbow collection because a) if you can believe it, i'm already tired of looking at this stuff, b) i'm beginning to work on the next collection and i need to have the workspace and the headspace to do it, and c) i love a good deal and i'm sure you do too.
so, roughly 40 items are now 10-15 ish dollars sweeter. head on over and have a looksee. i think that i will keep this stuff in the shop thru sometime next week...? not sure yet, it depends on my progress with the upcoming collection, will have some news on that shortly.
anyhoot.
here's some of the stuff:
as you can see, still some seriously good treasures to be had.
i am off to nurse this terrible chest cold i have managed to get this week. probably a hot shower and a hot towel around my head, ferris bueller style. followed by maybe a hot peppermint tea over a steaming hot humidifier. hard to believe we are expecting sunny 70 degree temps this weekend. in the same week that saw 5 inches of snow. wonder why i'm sick.
thanks for all your sweet comments on yesterday's post. it's by no means a perfect life, but it's a darn good one most of the time. i am lucky, lucky indeed.
