one things that's always on my Lookout List: these colorful wooden wall hangings from el salvador. i absolutely *love* them. all of them hang in dotty's room, with the exception of that fantastic key holder which conveniently hangs at the front door.
a quick search on ebay, and on etsy only turned up two results- which makes me wonder if these are harder to come across than i thought? usually they are dirt cheap, i don't think i've ever paid more than 2 dollars per piece. but to me, they're worth much more than that. so sunny and colorful, they always make me smile.
what's on your regular Lookout List? any items you collect that you're constantly looking for? i'd love to know! maybe we can help each other out!
Those are sweet! I actually think we share a certain collection-vintage enamel flower brooches! I also love to find colorful vintage/antique handkerchiefs (a hint for the Frecklewonder shop again?)

those ARE wonderful! i too love the vintage enamel flower brooches, they can make any day seem more cheery... and large, black old lady handbags, large like they can hold all of my "todays"stuff. Oooo, and chickens/roosters, funny, weird chickens and roosters.. kinda like that funky gingham chicken bun warmer i bought from you....

enamel brooches- you are right! i haven't worn any of mine in a couple months- i usually have one or two pinned to my favorite vintage denim jacket, but it's been too cold and style has taken a back seat to warmth -- puffy coat it is! i think a puffy coat would look funny with a brooch, don't you?! :)
i actually have a HUGE stack of hankies! i used to use them to make pillow covers years ago... in fact i still have a lot of half baked projects down in my workroom involving hankies... maybe i will dig them out for the start of spring :)

My collection is New Canadian Library books from the late 60s/early 70s. I even started a blog about it (www.roughingitinthebooks.com) because I figured I had better start reading them instead of just looking at them. :) Oh, and I have a ton of vintage patterns but mostly I just want to sew things with them - someday, when I have sewing space again.
